Lily Simpson founded Detox Kitchen in 2012 and has spearheaded the healthy food movement in London for over a decade. As CEO Lily leads her team in challenging the fast-food industry by producing food that is both convenient and nutritious without compromising on taste. Committed to change Lily is also studying a Masters in Philosophy, Politics and Economics of Health at UCL and is committed to making changes in health policy in order to fulfil her mission of democratising healthy food.

Lily runs the multi-million business between the head office in Soho and central kitchen in Battersea, where she focuses on product innovation, e-commerce development and strategic partnerships. As a business they are focussed on constantly balancing the consumer demands for convenience, health and sustainability.

Over the last decade plus, Detox Kitchen have built a cult following both online and at their cafes in Central London. They are one of the UK’s best loved health brands with a global online following. Their recipe and nutrition content is consumed and shared around the world.

Today, a business that started in Lily’s kitchen has grown into one of the most successful Healthy Food brands in the UK. “We won’t stop until everyone can enjoy the benefits that eating fresh, healthy, delicious food brings.”

Lily has written two cookbooks including the best-selling Detox Kitchen Bible, and Detox Kitchen: Vegetables, both published by Bloomsbury.
