To give you an idea of some of the books I have loved and continue to love past and present, not including my Client’s own books: CRIME & PUNISHMENT, GIFT FROM THE SEA, MY BRILLIANT FRIEND, SUITE FRANÇAISE, MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA, WHERE THE CRAWDADS SING, LESSONS IN CHEMISTRY, I KNOW WHY THE CAGED BIRD SINGS, CREATIVE VISUALISATION, HARRY POTTER, THE BHAGAVAD GITA, THE PROPHET, THE PHENOMENOLOGY OF SPIRIT… Hold on, STOP THE PRESSES, the moment I started making this list hundreds of others books came streaming through my mind, shouting for a mention.  Realistically, it’s pretty impossible at this stage to give you even the merest glimpse of the books that I love and have loved, that I have cried over that have left me daydreaming, that have motivated me, that have challenged me, that have made me understand things from a different perspective. Here’s the thing: if we are lucky enough to have 60 years of good reading time in our lives and let’s say we can average reading 1 book a week, which might be a lot for most people, that works out to 3,120 books, possibly, read in a lifetime. I hope that I’ve already read that amount but quite honestly couldn’t account for that. Though I am sure that I will have read more than that as I lean into my hopefully wiser years. But let’s be honest, that’s not that many books! So you need to be really critical about what you do read and what you do put into your heart and mind, in my opinion.

AND, I will say that there is no greater joy than finding yourself stuck inside the pages of a FANTASTIC book, losing yourself, learning about the world, learning about yourself and how you can be a better person for this planet. After all, isn’t that what we all aspire to…and books are the fast track to get us there.

I love that Reese Witherspoon is such a wonderful proponent for reading with her https://reesesbookclub.com. May Reese and Oprah https://www.oprah.com/app/books.html and others with book clubs around the world together with the creators and authors, without whom there would be nothing, continue to expand our horizons so that the world can improve and be a better place for everyone who lives on this planet. Thanks to all of the Publishers and bookstores, both bricks and mortar and online bookstores, who help spread the word. And my most special thanks to all of the readers out there.
